This is just crazy. Mother Nature needs to get it through her head, if it is going be be below 60d, then I want at least a foot of snow on the ground!
No big changes around here. Things are actually fairing better then I had feared, likely because of 2 things, #1, no traffic to speak of, and #2, we have avoided the sun for the most part - it has been mostly overcast for like a week here. The sides of the highway along the US-2 businesses are all grass this morning. The trails are actually fairing better though, but it is of very little consolation. We are not grooming until we get some more snow. Both groomers are in town for light maintenance, and we will probably keep them here for now. Thats about all I have to say. The forecast is for a trace of snow tonight, and 30d temps all week, with a rain/snow mix for next Sunday/Monday. John Dee is optimistic, but NOAA isn't. Too far out to tell.

Just thought I would post the pics of this weekend again for those who feel like winter is over in the Straits Area.
Notice the snow on the skid is white. Trails were GREAT! Pat

There is this strange stuff around here today. It is white, and floating through the air. I will have to check out to see what it is.
References tell me that it is snow. Can't remember what that looks like. Got some lake effect last night/this morning. Only about 1/2"-1", but at least things are all white again.

Help please
Is the picture of the snowmachine on the bridge the bridge over the carp river with the new deck and railings? And if it is what is the trail number of that trail? And you know those trails look good enough to me to ride. You guys do a great job on the Iggy areas trails. Thanks Pro ![]() |

Yes it is the new bridge and its trail 47 at that point and south of the Burma Grade its 2. Either way its the railroad grade headed north from St Iggy to Trout Lake. And yes again on its condition... once you got north of Worth Rd the trail became white and no stones.

I thank you. Also you have a nice looking normal snowmachine. I ride 2002s and 2003s ski-doos that are normal snowmachines with a belly pan and a cowel and a nice seat. Ever since ski-doo came up with the rev it has been all down hill with the way sleds are built. They look and ride like dirt bikes and many riders now days dont sit down and have a backpack full of garden tools that they cant wait to use after they get stuck which they enjoy. Just my 2 cents but it seems like a step back into the 1960s before groomed trails. Pro |

No update on the trail conditions, since they have still not changed. Thin, kinda ridable, some rocks here and there. Icy corners, maybe some snirt. Same darn conditions across the entire state except North of 28.
I will be reporting on the big Sunday change. All we need is 6" and we will be good to go for a while.
