Default Trail Conditions 12-14-16

Getting really close. Winter storm is going to be hammering us over teh next couple of days. ANd depending on who you listen to , we will have 3-6 tonight, and another 2-8 this weekend. Big range there, with the bullseye juming North and South dramatically with each forecast.

We did get another 1" of OK snow last night, and if you have an older beater sled you probably could start bombing teh trails now or tomorrow. Generally we are thinking of a panning run this weekend with the groomers.

It is super cold and windy with teh first school closing of the year today. Winter is definitely here.

Oh yahhhhh. I forgot to tell you guys... Trails are in fact in really good shape. I put on 13.2 miles yesterday - on Mackinac Island. Roads are snow covered about 97%, and sleds are everywhere. It was a good trip despite a horrible time working and the 25-35 mph winds onto the jobsite. Almost new ventre 4 stroke cooked right along.

When was the last time that I got the first miles on the forum??? (probably never)

Soon. Not much to show just yet. Forecast was crap. Straits to Indian River was supposed to get that 3-6, and not even 12 hours after I posted that they put us in the trough and pushed the higher amounts exactly where teh map said there would be little. The Soo is getting super hammered right now. They have had 3-4 county & state plow trucks in teh ditch or rolled in teh last 12 hours, and have closed even some roads inside teh city limits today. The schools from the Soo to Traverse city were almost all closed, except Cedarville and Iggy - Cause we are hardcore. In reality, lots of wind here today (ripped the cap off my chimney last night) but not much snow.

Next round of snow looks to be late Friday night.

Groomers are both done. Wayne repositioned #5 to Moran today, and will be be moving to Brevort over the next few days.

It's cold. Almost Christmas. Lets ROCK.
