Wild ride for sure. They had it to the top, seems like overkill to then use a helicopter. Would have made more sense to just pull it out and tow it back.

Maybe it wasn't "towable" through that terrain, and it may have been too hard to clear the edge of the crevasse.

Guess what I was getting at is the cost of salvage sled = cost of helicopter rental?
