Default 1st Trip to St. Ignace

Hi Guys

I am heading to St. Ignace this weekend with my wife, and is our first time coming up to the UP. Just wondering what would be a good day trip. Saturday morning we plan on getting up around 6 AM and hitting the trails. Just want to plan a good Day trip and hit some cool spots. Let me know if you got any cools spots or places to go see for the day! Looking to put approximately 150 Miles, and check out some cool restaurants along the way.

Would like to be back around St. Ignace around 8 PM! Any info is greatly appreciated! We are staying at the Village Inn.

With all of the varied trail conditions on our neighboring clubs, those that have gone for a ride around us, please let this guy know where a good ride would be, as some of the traditional routs aren't so good this year.

Last Saturday we took a ride from St. Ignace to Brimley. This is about 180 miles round trip.

Took St. Ignace to Trout Lake, then to north to Strongs, East to Brimley. Rode to Mission Point Lookout on the Bay Mills Casino trails. Then worked our way back to St. Ignace.

Trails were in decent shape, I see no reason that would have changed much with the new snow the other day. Very little in the way of wet areas on this route.

Thanks for the information Todd, that sounds great! Any suggested restaurants to stop in and see for that route?

We stopped at the Cozy Inn in Brimley, right next to the gas station.

There are also a few places in Strongs, Lumberjacks is one.

Buckhorn or Trout Lake Tavern in Trout Lake.

It's been a few years since we made that trip. There are a few ways we can take. Not sure how the trails are in Rudyard or Pickford. I read you can go Strong way to, from another post on here. It's got to be 150-170 miles round trip. Sorry not much help.
