Default Correct way to measure belts

Many of us run aftermarket belts on our sleds, usually to save money. One school of thought that I had always believed in was measuring the outside circumference and width of the belt to match it up with the OEM belts. Now with the top cog belts, that is no longer valid. The cog height can vary by manufacturer and have no effect on pitch length. Here is a video to explain how to measure pitch length to compare belt lengths.

Hopefully Monday. All those pieces of heavy equipment don't like that sub-zero stuff.
