![]() Trails are marginally rideable right now North of Moran. That will all change in teh next 30 hours with the big storm coming in. Some predicting 5-8" for Iggy, some over 20" it is that crazy. Supposed to get like 1" today, then quiet until the bigger storm hits tomorrow. I will update this thread occasionally, well just because. If you wanted to ride Sat or Sun in the woods you would be good to go. I worry about the ice part of the storm some, but they are so all over the place on this that we just don't know what is going to happen.
Stay tuned, and stay safe this weekend. Could be a big over-exaggerated issue, or a full on epic storm... Time will tell. By the way, as of right now, between 8am Friday & 8pm Sunday, NOAA is saying Iggy gets 14".

![]() Evening update.
So after a short bout of heavy snow this morning, it turned to rain this afternoon and at the end of round 1, we have less snow than we did yesterday. For the record, I think this storm is going to come in warmer then what is predicted, and I am now kinda doubting that we get hammered that bad. Question is, are we going to get bad icing?

![]() Friday morning update, hazy foggy skies. Forecast starting to cut snow totals even more and pushing precip downstate. Now talking major ice storm for mid-michigan, and snow storm here on Sunday. That is fine with me.
I would not travel to ride this storm just yet. Personally I would hold off until monday to see what is what. More later.

![]() Saturday was breezy, and a bit hazy, but we saw no precip like down state.
Sunday we awoke to hail on the house, really strong winds and a no power. Power was restored in about 90 min, and the 30+mph winds have continued all day. We did get some 'snow' but it was more like ice pellets. I shoveled a little and there was zero water content, and it was the most sugary shown that I have ever seen. It sticks to nothing and flows exactly like you are pouring salt or sugar out of a bag. I would estimate we have maybe 2" looking at the drifts. Bridge is open, but was closed to all high profiles all day due to the winds. Real snow is supposed to pick up later tonight, and they have most every school (except ours) within 100 miles closed for tomorrow already. Should have several inches of snow before tomorrow at 8pm, but I am really doubting the sky high amounts that were in the forecast. More info tomorrow.
