Yeah I am glad we made the trip.

We didn't get too many miles on Saturday around the cabin at Black Mountain. There was a lot of snow there but private property gates were closed and some of the roads were plowed and just down to dirt so that limited the distance we could travel. Found some two tracks to play around on too.

Talked to a sledder riding from Alpena and he said most gates were closed but he went around them. Lots of plowed roads too. His suspension was brown!

That is EXACTLY what we can't do! That guy had fun for a few hours, hopefully he didn't ruin the access to those trails next year.

Yeah we stopped at the first gate and respected the property owner.

Maybe the property owner wouldn't care and was just keeping the trucks, jeeps and SxS out but you never know.

The trails were already rutted up in spots with pickup truck tracks...

3 places. You can park in front of the old bar, or across the street in that little field next to teh trail where sleds used to park when the bar was open (if the snow is low enough)

You you are cool and line up and park well, (and I would suggest ask) You can park just North of the gas station on their property.
