Default Trail Conditions 12-09-19

Access improving, snow diminishing.

Good news, thanks to tireless work by volunteers, and a couple of others, we got the RR grade punched open from Iggy to Trout Lake, a few hangers or helmet slappers, but the groomer should be able to get through. The lower loop had been groomed, so the upper loop will be next on the docket mid-week.

Bad weather today, so sending the saw crews out the Caffey mid-week hoping that can be punched open in a reasonable amount of time. And reports of decent amount of water on the cut river trail, so will probable let that sit until towards the end of the week when it is colder to try to open up after the caffey is done.

It got pretty warm here over the weekend, and a bit of rain this morning (changedin to snow now) Reports of the RR Grade being sloppy and rocks poking through - which was expected at some point.

Forecast for this week is getting colder with a sprinkle of snow. That should help tighten the trails up, and fingers crossed we can get everything opened up for next weekend.

There have been others helping, but want to toss out a huge thank you to LetItSnow, and Benjamingvsu (+dad) for giving time to help get the RR grade opened up. The crews would not have make it to Trout Lake last night if it were not for the time you guys put in. For those that don't know, Ben drove a long way up here just to help out. So THANKS AGAIN GUYS!!

Thanks guys!! Wish I could make it up this weekend to lend a hand. The caffey will be a full load of work.

Couple more inches of snow in Iggy, which tapered off as you go North.

West end trails still in very tough shape, but it is getting colder and we hope that tightens things up enough to get the groomer through soon.

Still watch for downed trees, and the brushing crews as they should be out daily.
