Default Ice Bridge

I haven't read anything about the ice bridge yet this year. I was wondering if it was getting close or if anyone thought it would happen at all this year. We are coming back up in a couple weeks and would love to ride out to the island.

After briefly freezing up for 2 days, and no stable bridge, almost the entire waterway opened up again. I would not count on it this season without a solid week of sub-zero temps, and I don't see that coming.

Sleds crossed this morning. I have no idea on ice conditions, but people are going.

Gonna be warmer this weekend, so this may be a very short lived thing.

Remember ice is never safe. Guy died in Cheboygan yesturday:

I read that a woman was killed on the island this past weekend when she struck a tree.
