Thats what happens when your not a top name in the game. I didn't see it but from the replays I have seen its just typical restrictor plate blocking. That whole race just sucks in my opinion. I wish we could eliminate Daytona and Talledaga. You ever notice how some of the under performing teams seem to get up front at just those races?

I think it happened in the truck race friday night. Benson I think ,last lap in the tri-oval 5th to 3rd half the truck below the yellow line.

The 01 car said he could have wrecked Stewart or go below the yellow line. He didn't have any choice in the matter. I think Nascar should do something about the last lap of racing. Seems like someone always blocks to win and hopes the 2nd place guy doesn't wreck him to get by. If the 01 would have wrecked Stewart, as though Nascar says wreck him instead of going below the line, everyone would have been upset with the 01. Nascar should allow more racing instead of staying in line or above the line.

I think it all comes down to if Nascar determines if you are far enough along side when the car you're passing starts to block you. With JR's win, if my memory serves correctly, he was 2/3rds of the way along side and was then forced down below the line. If they would start penalizing drivers who force someone down below the yellow line, that would help. Nascar's rule is that they MIGHT penalize a driver, which gives the green light to block, especially if you're a top name driver. Unfortunately, blocking is part of the game at Dega' and Daytona and Nascar is horrible at judgement calls. No way was Nascar going to contribute to another Stewart meltdown.

What's with this "if you can see the checkered flag, then anything goes" crap they were talking about last night, Micheal Waltrip in particular. I've never heard of that other than when Andy Petrie said it during the broadcast as it was happening. I would love to actually hear the audio of the drivers meeting and what the drivers are actually told.

Edwards is certainly doing what he can to keep up with Johnson in the Chase, but it's still going to take a minor miracle to take around the 48 team with only 2 races left. Chad Knous will not let that happen, and their team can afford to play a little conservative from here on out (even though they probably will not). Jimmy Johnson will likely repeat his championship quest.
