Another windmill farm going up. Southwest of us, this time they are mile and a half away. Not sure how many yet. Pouring footings has we speak. I think a solar farm is also going up two miles away from us.

We got to have power some how.

Yep saw some of the new footings going in on our way home last week.

I am all for green energy, but I think there are getting to be too many windmills in the thumb. I heard the plan is for about 750 total.....

Kevin, there are 88 turbines going up around you right now, called Pheasant Run Wind. There are only three commercial electrical grid Solar projects in Huron County right now, Willie Farms by Bad Axe, which is in operation, and two others, one by Verona Beet Piling grounds and the other will be on Filion Road, old Leipprandt Orchards property.

Once all turbines are assembled this year, Huron County will stand with a total of around 328 turbines.

Just a note, the new ITC Thumb Loop could support up to 5,000 turbines, but not all in the thumb. I looked at the layout of Huron County the other day and I believe we could see somewhere around 1,200 turbines in Huron County total. Just a guess though!

88 WOW!
The closest one to our house will be a mile and a half away. But when they are all up, every direction accept west we will have a windmill view.

Guess I was wrong, there is windmills west of me. Three of them, seen the towers laying in the fields.
We need power some how, better than a nuclear power plant in our backyard.
