Default New year-a-round toy

Picked up a 09 Polaris Sportsmen 500 HO last week. Very clean atv, guy used it for ice fishing. Was in the woods only one time. Has easy take off windshield.
Might have to get up north this summer.
Like to get a winch for the snow plow, if we get snow next winter !!

Hey Kevin,

Did you get the new toy out yet? I have been up riding a few times so far this year. My last ride brought me from Lake Michigan (Brevort) to Lake Superior (Bay Mills/Brimley). Let me know if you ever want to ride up there.

No, I have not got up north yet. Looking at trailers to hall them on. Plus I am working saturdays, so not much time to ride.
Pat,I will let you know if and when we go north.

Kevin,
If you are looking for open trailers, check out Aluma, they are gerat trailers, in the mid price range. A couple in our family have one, and we have one I am pretty happy with. They have single, side by side and 4-6 place. The one we have carries 2 machines, you load one sideways in the front, then another in the rear between the fenders. Its nice cause it isn't nearly as wide as a 2 place side by side, but big enough to carry 2 machines, (or a side by side/razer). The only drawback I have found in 5 years is we had to weld an ear back on one of the ramps. The vibration of driving wears the alum on alum, and it was wobbling too much. We use it all the time.

Dad has it out today, let me know if you need a pic or a model num, but it should be on their website.

Sounds good Kevin! I sold my new machine so I am now looking for a replacement. Thinking Side X Side but can't get the trill of the ATV out of my mind. Not sure I'm ready to sit in something instead of on it.

As we were coming home from Midland sunday, in Bay City. While driving by I said to my wife, there is the trailer I would like to get. As we past the trailer my wife said the guy is just waking around the corner of the house with a for sale sign. I said, ya your joking. No she was not! Went around the block and there was the sign on the trailer. Made the deal, gave him money down and picked it up today.
Aluma 6 1/2' x 12' rear ramp, 13" tires with spare. It has stake pockets if you wanted to put sides on it.
Ok, now just have to find a weekend free to go north.

You will like that alot. They don't have a real big capacity (I overloaded ours with snowmobile sign posts once) but for 1 or 2 quads, they look and pull fantastic.

Thanks Guys.
It is just what I was looking for in a utility trailer. Did not want a so called snowmobile trailer. Wanted a trailer I can use for many things and with the ramp right on the trailer. I think the stars were lined up the way it worked out.
If I hall two atvs, I will have to load one from the side with ramps.

Pat , no trailer?? you hall them in your truck?

Kevin,

Snowmobile trailer is my all round trailer. I would love to have what you bought for my ATVs and other stuff and leave the snowmobile trailer just for snowmobiles. Scares me every time I put my ATV on that flat trailer without any back to it. I have lost or broke straps only to find out they were missing 200 miles later! Congrats on a great and safe purchase.
