Slightly improving. An inch here and inch there - it all helps.
Actually trail conditions have not changed much at all. Everything is firmed up very well, all of the trails are in decent shape, but thin. A hard ice bas under an inch or 2 of snow is what is available, with a bit more on the Northern ends. We are grooming on a very limited basis right now, mostly new training runs, a couple of times a week. The problem areas have not changed, not got bigger nor smaller. The RR Grade out of Iggy, to Moran, very thin, and has some gravel areas with rocks poking through. Once you hit Moran heading North it gets much better, 1/2 way to Trout Lake, no longer a problem. The pipeline section of #473, the western side of the lower loop is bare. You can get toe he side, but the main trail for about 1 mile is sandy. I had a report of the Northern section of #473 where the log trucks are running is not good either, but you should be able to get the to the side. (They were supposed to be done at Christmas time) Forecast has some snow in it here and there, mostly tonight. I am hoping for the best. This area NEEDS some people BAD, but I am not going to sugar coat the reports. It is what it is. For the most part, sledders are just going to have to contend with these types of conditions this winter, deal with it and RIDE!

Neil, the link to St Ignace is down on Fishweb. Just an FYI, don't know if you can do anything about it.

Thanks G, I only do here, and MSA others copy reports to other places.
Nothing new on the Rock Bottom. I have a groomer driver across the street, I will ask next time he calls in.
