Default Trail Conditions 12-01-09

Well, kinda like Mother Nature looked at the calender and decided is was time to get started. December 1st brings some colder times, and snow, with the promise of more. It snow quite hard for a few hours last night, we got maybe 1"+ of very heavy wet snow. Everything is currently covered, but slowly melting at this time. Reports of Rudyard and Dafter with up to 5" last night, the Soo with 3" and most everyone else 1"-2".

Oh ya, did I mention that we even have a groomer on the trail? Don't get too excited, not grooming the trail just yet, but currently Dave is working up by Trout Lake to finish up the last of the brushing project.

Forecast for the coming week is looking better for the snow sports dudes. Another system Thursday, followed by some heavy lake effect is predicted. Not the start like we had last year, but it is finally trying to get things going.

Will there be trail side hot dogs like last winter?

My brother famouseguy really likes hot dogs.

He is good for at least 4.

I think this year he should donate a few dozen.
