Anybody going UP next weekend?

We might be... We're supposed to do a sledding event around this area Saturday, but it looks like things may shoot up to over 40 degrees around here for the weekend. If that's the case we may end up going north!

If anybody is heading up this weekend, and is hankering for a cold brew or great food, I recommend heading to Chuck's (Rock Bottom). He is having a Farewell Party on the 7th, so if you are in the area, stop in and wish Chuck, Kelly and the crew best wishes.

Would really like to go but after two straight and wanting to go for the Bent Ski I don't think my budget or wife would be very happy

The Bank now own the Rock Bottom - it is for sale if you know anybody who may be interested.

I heard (no sure how reliable) that the party is Thursday night, and the last day it will be open under Chuck is Sat night. The bank has publicly stated that they will not run it, so I assume the doors will close Sat night until a buyer is found.

The rock bottom is right off of the rail road grade coming outta st. iggy and yes chuck is the owner. Sad to see it going down chuck is one heck of a guy and we spend alot of our time in there usually and not going to be able to make it up for the party

Sad times... We definately wish Chuck and Kelly the best and hope that things work out for the best in the end. I wish we could make it up there for the party, but like you said, it just isn't going to happen. Since we've been coming to St. Ignace to snowmobile, the Rock Bottom has been one of our favorite places hands-down, and the service has always been great.

I was looking at real estate in St. Ignace today, and there is a decent looking 4 bd, 2 bath, with appliances, on 2+ acres near Moran that's LISTED at $34,900. I've got the house picked out, now one of my favorite bars is available for purchase... it's time for the last piece of the puzzle... MEGA MILLIONS JACKPOT!... I'll let everyone know if my plans come together Friday night after 11:00pm...
