Default Trail Conditions 12-23-16

Warm around here. Forecast is for above freezing temps, and a bit colder at night. Local forecast is for 3-6" of snow tonight, BUT all the others are saying less then 2", which is what sounds about right.

Trails have between 2-3" on them, and will not hold any traffic at all. Overall they look nice though. Bobby finished setting everything on the North end today, and so things are in OK shape. He did say the Caffey towards Rexon has quite a few water holes, which are now big mud puddles after the panning.

Also, for some reason the entire length of Castle Rock and Round Lake Roads are currently being plowed. I am trying to investigate this, but with the holidays falling on a weekend, it seems our Government employees are seeing it as a excuse to take like a month off. I'm finding that across a ton of agencies right now. I will post up more info when I get it.

If we get decent snow, we will pan things down again tomorrow to seal it up for the X-mas rain storm that is predicted.

Other then that, I hope you have a happy holiday, get tons of stuff you wanted (along with their return receipts )

I will leave you with a pic Bobby sent in from West Burma area.

Plowing those roads could be a disaster.

Maybe time to take up stamp collecting or the popular hobby of researching Buffalo chips!!!!!

No snow last night to speak of. Mostly rain. Did some damage, but not a ton.

Tomorrow should be key.

We had a good start down here. First time I rode sleds around home in two years. Lost some snow the last few days now.
