Default Weather Conditions 4-04-16

Stupid Mother Nature. 4 days after grooming ends, and we get the 4th best storm of the season, as I awoke to 5" of fresh powder. Forecast for this week is actually for more 3-6" of new snow, with minimal warming up until maybe the weekend, but still not that warm. This is early March weather, yet now we are dealing with all snow cover again. You could probably ride right now if you really wanted to. Normal temps in the mid 40s, and today is will not get above freezing.

I'm ready for summer at this point.

Whats the deal with riding after the trail are "closed" (after 3/31). I know something was posted at some point but I can't find it. Were not looking at anything spectacular probably just TL to Strongs if possible. We have plenty of maintenance that needs to be done to the cabin and have a free weekend, just wondering so if conditions are good enough to go out for lunch.

You can ride trails on state and fed land no problem. Basically, you would have no issues on any of OUR trails. Not sure about North of Trout Lake. Technically leases/easements on private lands end on March 31, that is where the issue is. If a gate is closed - respect it! It is messing around outside of the designated trail times that can mess up a clubs future relationship with a land owner. We do not have these issues, but I know other clubs do. Be respectful, and plan a trip, and you probably can get some riding in, they are calling for another 3-6 tonight.

Would you say this is going to stick around for the weekend? May make the drive up Friday night after work to ride! Thanks Cory!

I would not drive up from Ohio to ride this slush on a newer sled, if that is your question. An old bomber went by the office today.

It is kinda raining now, and everything has been melting from the bottom up too.

OK, so it has now snowed for 30 hours straight. We have 10-12" on the level of heavy wet snow on the ground. If we were to groom, it would probably make a near perfect base.

2nd best, if not the THE best snow all season, and it is in April.

Mother Nature sucks.

Just talked to 2 guys loading up in the parking lot. They road aways towards Cedarville today. Snow was OK, but lots of 4x4 ruts and traffic.
