Default Weather Conditions 12-27-15

Same ol around here. Musta been bad last year, cause we have a GREEN xmas. Zero frost, 30-50d during the day, and barely into the 20s at night and rain for the last week.

Forecast has been jumping all over the place. After calling for 5-7 in before xmas, we got literally nothing. Then calling for 8-12 in for Monday night, then dropped it to 1, maybe 3 for the last 2 days. They just pushed the storm back into us, and calling for 5-8in over the EUP.

Who knows what is gonna happen, but it is supposed to all happen late tomorrow night. Start doing your snow dance and lets get this thing cranked up.

OK this morning they just upped us to 8-12"
Still supposed to start late tonight, and pretty much be done by morning.
BUT, we have flurries right now - look like Lake Huron Lake effect from Rogers City... we hardly ever get that. Steady winds at 15 right now, supposed to more then double by this evening. Batten down the hatches, looks like winter is finally here!

I was headed out today but then the freezing rain rolled in. Gonna head out in the morning on my way UP.

Had flurries all day. HORRENDOUS winds.

Grooming depends on the snow really. If we do get 10" of heavy wet snow, then I will look at sending them out. Problem is we had zero frost yesterday, and with all the rain we have had, there was a ton of water on the trail.

I will know more tomorrow evening, if at all possible I want ridable trails for new years.

(Gotta get my groomer back first... I had one out grading trails for the last few days trying to get everything table-top for when we do get snow. They tripled our snow forecast, I was thinking we were only going to get 1-2")

Hopefully there rideable by tomorrow evening! And these groomers up in the keweenaw can't groom trails with low snow! Headed back to Moran in the morning!
