Default Weather Conditions 11-20-15

White stuff. Yep, there is some sticking to the grass today after overnight flurries. The forecast is for a storm over the weekend - downstate is gonna get hammered and we will be on the fringe not supposed to get much. The ground has zero frost anyway, temps have been in the 40s and 50s for the last few weeks, and supposed to be back into the 40s next week. Long term forecast has a low snow year predicted with the record el-Nino and La-nin-whatever. We will see about that.

In about 7 days we will commence with our final grading operation of the year to get things perfect for the frost. Low snow be damned - we are gonna have good trails!

I will predict the week of Christmas to run a groomer this year, hopefully sooner then that. We will see.

Think snow!

I am in Southwest lower Michigan (right on the Indiana border). Forecast was for a Winter storm warning with 4"-7" snow on Saturday. That has been downgraded to an advisory only.

5-7 here in mid Mi. But with no frost , the first few inches will melt. I am thinking maybe 3 on the ground.

Well.... first snow storm and we lost power. It was half power, which is more work to unplug or shut off everything so it will not burn up the motors. Lost power at 9:30 last night and got back full power at 11:20 today. Now making sure we plug everything back in. We really need to make a list of what to do when we have half power again.
Have about 3-4 on the ground, but now have full sunshine.

Well--The Winter storm warning that was downgraded to advisory turned out to be 10"-12" heavy wet system snow. Then the temps dropped to 18 degrees.

Sunshine and cold all day today. I'm guessing there is still 8" or more on the ground. Took the sleds out and ripped around the bean fields this afternoon. Put about 20 miles on.

Southwest Lower Michigan.

Yeah Kevin I was at AllSeason's house installing our new turbos (err err err) when the power went off (ugg) Fired up the generator and kept working. Power restored about 3 hours later.

Had 2in here in Iggy, and 5-6" in Curtis where I have been working. Everything just about melted though, and ran all day today finished it all off.
