Default Weather Conditions 3-30-15

The end of the season is upon us. I have been in the tropics for the last few days, but returned to 5" of fresh heavy snow and horrible roads to great me. Everything is covered again, and looks nice out there - but really no riding unless you have a beater sled (which just passed the office). Locals have told me that the last week has been uneventful - and cold, which further ticks me off that we has one week of warm weather that ruined the whole end of the month. Oh well, that is what Mother Nature can do to us I guess.

Overall a decent season - even if our groomed mileage did not reflect a ton of grooming. I will post up a season in review in the next week or two when I can get a chance to type on up.

Well the season has officially closed. The island boat made its first trip over yesterday, and today, Aprils Fools day, mother nature has seen fit to give us 1 1/2" of nice fluffy wet and pretty snow. Figures. At least it looks nice today, and over the last few days we have seen the first wet snow of teh season - almost 6" worth. Too bad we did not get that in January!

Oh well, time to focus on spring, and the upcoming summer projects.

The club will be doing some grading this year, some decent brushing on the North RR Grade, and yes we should also be doing a groomer barn. But more on all of that later. Enjoy spring break, and have a happy Easter out there.

Had a great ride out of brevort today. Couldn't ask for better snow in April. Trails were still good for the most part, 2 tracks were great.

Yep, a trace of snow again today.

Talked to a couple of guys that trailed to the Borland Road, and road from there to strongs and back on March 29th. They said our trails up there were almost still perfect, very smooth and hard, and the fresh 4" of snow made riding just super. Too bad we lost those key sections of trail when we did.

Oh well, at least people are still having a good time out there. I'm sooo ready for spring.

I'm just saying... It is April 22nd, and we had a low snow year. Grass is covered with new snow now, and we have had crappy weather all week.

I want spring, and summer now.

Sounds like someone needs a hug

Weather isn't the greatest "down here" either. Monsoon season the past couple days. Sustained winds of 25-30 mph, with gusts over 45. Freeze warnings to boot. Gotta love it!!

Just updating this thread so I have a record.

Parents water finally broke loose on April 30th.

Things are dry this spring, everything is brown. Our first big spring rain on May 3rd brought all the lawns green though.

This ends the spring weather reporting. Here is to a great and warm summer.
