Default Weather Conditions 12-05-14

Another few days have passed and the trail situation is degrading a bit day by day. No measurable new snow and with decent sun and warmer then average temps, things are on the slow decline around here. I would not recommend trying to ride around here right now, and that is the forecast for the coming week too.

Quote:
Today Cloudy, with a high near 34. South wind 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight A chance of drizzle before 1am, then a chance of freezing drizzle between 1am and 2am. Cloudy, with a low around 29. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest after midnight.
Saturday Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a temperature falling to around 27 by 5pm. North wind around 10 mph.
Saturday Night Clear, with a low around 16. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable after midnight.
Sunday Sunny, with a high near 31. Light east wind becoming southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
Sunday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 28.
Monday Light snow likely after 8am. Cloudy, with a high near 36. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Monday Night Snow showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 28.
Tuesday A chance of snow showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 30.
Tuesday Night A slight chance of snow showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 19.
Wednesday Partly sunny, with a high near 29.
Wednesday Night A slight chance of light snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24.
Thursday A slight chance of light snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36.
The groomers will not be running for the next week at least. We are going to take the opportunity to get the brusher out on the RR Grade and get a jump on next years larger brushing project. Other then that, good luck on your search for snow, and keep a positive snow-dance running.

Quick Monday morning update. No snow yet, looks like either rain or snow is on the way. Nothing that is going to be a game changer yet. Sun for the rest of the week.

Was out on the RR Grade over the weekend. The hunters rutted the heck out of alot of it while it was soft, and it started to freeze that way. Very likely going to run the groomer out with the grader blade near the end of the week to smooth things down, then we will only need a few more inches to get going.

Long range forecasts are looking like 10 day out for any decent snow, then getting into a stormy pattern for awhile. Hope for the best.

Snowed all afternoon yesterday with a wet heavy half melted mix. Total 1-3 like expected. It is going away today though, little by little.

Trails still not ready around here, consequently we are taking the opportunity to munch on some problem trees.

Stay tuned, as soon as things look good I will give the green light.
