Default Trail Conditions 4-10-14

Going fast. It is amazing how much snow that we have lost in Iggy in the last 4 days. Temps in the 50d range have taken about 2/3 of our snow pack in town. That said the main trails are still in OK shape. Getting tough, some water and bare spots here and there, but still ridable. I know a couple guys that will ride sleds on the forest trails this weekend and it should be one last good ride. The forecast is still calling for spring like conditions so this weekend will be the last, and likely the last trail condition report.

It has been a decent season around here, and a great season for those that put the miles down riding.

I should have final season number reports this weekend, and we will see how our mid-season troubles effected us.

Thought I would add that people are still crossing to Mac Isl. I would not recommend it, but apparently still possible.

Just went out and road a bit of the trail out of town. You may be able to ride out in the forest (some guys are going to try this weekend) but I would call it and say that we are done. Too much melting happening too fast. The amount of snow that we have lost this week is amazing. Still looks like lots of ice around, but the snowmobiles are about done.
