If you are looking for something to do, head on up to St. Ignace this weekend, for the Semi Truck Show, and the Antique Farm Tractor Show.

The following is a schedule of events for September 17,18,19, & 20.
Semi-Truck/Car Show Schedule
Thursday, September 17
Welcome Reception for Truckers, Little Bear East, 8-10 pm
Friday, September 18
Staging and registration, Little Bear East, 10am-10pm
Main Street Closure from Marquette to Truckey, 6:30 pm
Special Guest, Alex Debogorski from Ice Road Truckers
Saturday, September 19
Truck Show, North parking lot, Little Bear East and downtown St. Ignace 9am-4pm
Car Show, South parking lot, Little Bear East 9am-4pm
Special Guest, Alex Debogorski from Ice Road Truckers
Semi Truck "Parade of Lights" through downtown St. Ignace and over bridge to Mackinaw City and back, dusk
Sunday, September 20
Trucks on display at Little Bear East and downtown, 9am-1pm. Awards to follow at 2 pm.
Cars on display at Little Bear East, 9am-1pm. Awards to follow at 1pm.
Street reopens at 6pm.

Antique Tractor Show and Bridge Parade
Friday, September 18
OVER 800 Tractors gather in Mackinaw City, 10am
12pm Parade across the Mackinac Bridge, Grand Marshall Chum Otswald
Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20
Tractors on display, Kewadin Shores Casino
Special Guest, Max Armstrong from RFD TV

I knew the lure of a couple hundred semi trucks, over 880 tractors, and topping it all off with a new groomer implement would be too much for Toddmeister to stand. Now we will have to monitor him a bit so he isn't running around like a kid on sugar all weekend!

I was intending to come UP this weekend but work got in the way. Always enjoyed the snow and a nice ride on the scooter around the area. You'll have to cover for me Todd.

It was a spectacular weekend, great weather, saw lots of familar faces, met some new folks, and got my dose of tractor duty, too. :)

That new tree grinder is quite the machine...

Will post some pics of the show 2nite...

There were over 880 antique tractors also in the area during the weekend.

Alex Debogorski from Ice Road Truckers was at Little Bear Arena. It was great to meet him in person, a very nice man!

He taught us how to smile! :)

I won't be missing this next year! Looks like a good time for a guy that grew up with truckin in his blood!
