This weekend's Poker Run IS ON :wowza: - Check announcement for Details
Trails are generally smooth, but still thin in areas. The RR grade has improved, and I will now upgrade to no hazards. The Cedarville connector has been very smooth. On the whole system, there is bit of snirt in the corners, just as it has been all season. The pipeline still has a few bare spots with sand on it. You can get to the side of the main trail and easily get around that.
:censored: NEW HAZARD: on the Caffey Truck Trail, all the way up by Rexton, next to the roadway. This is the only wet spot on our trail, this is where the big Cat got stuck last year (it took a big bulldozer to get her out) Well Groomer Dave broke through Sunday night, got the Deere stuck. Luckily he got it out under its own power, but we will be bypassing this stretch until it get really, really cold. Don't worry, it is only 100 yards long, and you can easily go around it, just follow the groomer tracks.
Just talked to Groomer Nick, there is enough snow that Castle Rock Road was choppy today! Training went well today and I will soon I will be able to introduce, Groomer Butch! Groomer Dave is running right now, and is training Andy, who will be joining us next week.
Weather was warm today, but we did not have a whole lot of melting, a bit, but less then I expected. Tomorrow is the worry, it is supposed to be quite warm, I recommend staying off the trail tomorrow, and maybe Friday as well. Friday is supposed to start warm, but then drop in temp, and the some rain will turn to snow Friday afternoon and snow all evening. Saturdays temps are to be in the 20's, so the poker run is a go, see the announcement on the trail conditions page for details.
