Most ever users on line - huh???

At the bottom of the forums page where it tells who's on and been on, it says most ever users on line at one time was yeaterday at 4:40 A.M. Huh???

Spiders.
The search engines send out little programs called spiders that crawl through websites and index the words for the search engines. Yahoo Slurp! is the worst, it will send out 10-20 at a time. What likely happened was that yahoo, google and MSN all hit at the same time. Same thing happened last spring too. Don't worry, this is a good thing for the forum, it gives us free exposure, helps the search rating, and until we get big enough, it doesn't hurt the bandwidth too much. Only downside is that statics counter doesn't show a true value, and it is not an easy thing for me to reset.

PS the real rating as far as I personally have seen is in the low 50s including registered users and guests.
