Brushing & Signing

Over the next month crews are being organized to go brushing & signing to bring the trails up to 2005 standards. Any and all available help is appreciated. Crews usually go out on Saturday mornings. If you would like to volunteer for a crew, please send an E-Mail to snowvp@mackinacsurveys.com

Brushing and signing has been completed on 75% of our trails. The Cedarville connector still need to be brushed and signed, and some brushing in the Cut river area need attention.

This just in: Major sign recall.
As if we don't have enough to do, all of the yellow signs have been recalled. A problem with the decals adhering to the sign base has caused the manufacturer to recall all yellow color signs provided for the 2005-2006 season. So it looks as if we are going to have to go and change 75% of the signs that were already in place for the season.

The trail received a fair amount of damage during last weeks wind storms. quite a few trees down on the Western trails.

The recalled signs still need to be replaced, date to be scheduled.

Final brushing on the Cedarville trail also yet to be scheduled.

Well, most of the brushing and signing has been completed. We are waiting on a couple of special order signs to be produced, but other than that we have ordered our DNR inspection.
There are a few recalled signs to be replaced as well, but we have decided to take that as we need to, not all at once.
