Snow VP

"For this time of the season - Excellent" was the quote I got from the groomer driver last night. Dave has covered the entire system 2 1/2 times and says that considering the time of the season things are great. There is some dirt showing mainly on corners in the Western end, where studded tracks have torn things up, but for the most part, the snow is level and smooth. We don't have enough to pack in the deep holes yet, but we will get there. In fact Dave said that there was almost 2 feet of powder South of Rexton, and on the first groom he could not keep the drag from becoming overloaded. It took 2 more passes to get it packed down.
Bases:
West end (Caffey & Cut River area) 8" packed powder
RR Grade (entire length) 6" packed heavy snow
East end (Cedarville Connector) 6" packed heavy snow
We had 5 trucks in the St. Ignace staging lot on Sat (I hope you got the cards I left)
Again, please try to take it easy on the trails this early in the season, with this little base.
A Posting Change:
Since I did not anticipate people posting in this forum, I have been sticking, and closing each trail condition thread. From now on, I will stick the current trail report to the top, but not close the thread. This means that if you wish to ask a question, or post a response to the trail conditions on a current date, you may do so just by replying to the message. (I will add this note to current conditions all week)
