We received a good 8"+ of snow late last week. Good heavy stuff, and we are getting a bit of lake effect this morning.
The groomer went out for the second time on Friday, and Dave must have put in over 12 hours, and he is gone again today. These first grooms are important to get a good smooth base for the season. Trails I have checked have about a 6" base packed in, and about 3/4 of them should have the first groom. That being said this is very early in the season, if you ride you need to be careful. And please go easy on the trail, try not to "rip it up" so we get a good base. The first truck and trailer was seen in the staging lot on Friday, so there have been a couple of riders.
We need another major storm to get things all set, but we are on the way.
