Well folks, trails are in good shape. We have a few bumps out there, but the both groomers are running today and tomorrow. We only got 1" of new snow from that big 3-5" storm predicted, typical for this season I guess.
Things will be in good shape of the weekend. The forecast scares me a bit for Sat. It is supposed to get into the high 30s which may tear up the trails some. The Northern sections have a good base, and will hold up, but I think the RR grade will get hit, I guess we will see.
Hope to see you for this weekends poker run, from the initial interest, it looks like we will have a good turnout.
Today's Trail Conditions in history (3-07-06)
It is 21d this morning and another bright and sunny day out there. It is supposed to get up into the mid 30s today, we will see what happens. It was supposed to get that warm yesterday, and very little melting occurred, as it was only that warm for about 2 hours.
No changes int eh trails as of today. Both groomers are running strong, and often. Groomer Nick went out at dusk, and did the entire Southern half of the system. This was the perfect time, as it was a bit soft, and it should have frozen beautifully overnight. These trails Will hold nicely through the day. If there is a bunch of traffic, the corners will get a bit tore up.
Only problem area may be along Brevort Lake road. You have to ride the shoulder for about 3/4 mile, and it was getting thin on Sunday. Everything else is just fine. You will hear it here if/when things go downhill.
You better head on UP and get a good ride in soon!

Well, it is about 38d and things are beginning the melt.
There is some pavement sections through town now, but they are manageable.
There is about 25 trailers a the ice rink lot so people are taking advantage of the good trails, and the warmer weather.
Night grooming is scheduled again tonight, and I will let you know hows things turn out in the morning.
