Major winter storm, tons of snow, lots of wind.... missed us. According to the weather radar, it looked like we were getting hammered all Sunday, and overnight, didn't happen in St. Ignace, not sure about farther North yet. We do have the wind, lots of it but the snow just did not develop until a little while ago, and they are reporting about 1" today.

The Trails again, have not changed. They are frozen hard now, ranging from gravel, to lots of snirt and ice, to some decent trails on near the Northern area. Please check this post for more detailed info: http://www.straitsareasnowmobileclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=314

Neil, that sucks it didn't get UP that far. It sure was snowing very hard in the Grayling Houghton Lake area. They were getting hammered. Needless to say it took 7 hrs to get home. Hopefully some will get there this week.

Oh by the way the Pond hockey, Ice bowling on the bay was a blast on Sat. The beer tent was rocking with a live band all afternoon. Sure hope to see that again next year. I hear that radar runs are gonna tried to be added.

6-12" possible with this storm ... I don't like the possible part, but I guess we're going to chance it and are heading up anyway Thurs evening. But we're going to be a bit  if end up having to trailer north again.

Can't believe it ... first year in many, many when I have not yet even hit any of the Straits Area trails at all - zero.....

We're headin up to Seney. It's good north and west of there. Headin up tonite, stayin at St. Ignace, hookin up the trailer and goin on tomorrow morning. Bringin the trailer home this trip. Lowest mileage year I've had in a long time.
Good meetin' ya Kenny. Maybe again at the car show or next year. Have a great summer.

Great meeting you also Wink. This has been my lowest mileage year also and I have been UP there every weekend since the first. Last weekend in Moran the grade was completely dirt and gravel. You definatly have to head north. I guess we will be trailering alot this coming week if this snow doesn't hit. Have fun in seney and be safe.

If you guys see a couple Crossfires and a Switchback taking a break (which we don't do very often - ha), stop and say HI. Heading up early Thurs afternoon.
