Conditions are Great! Plenty of snow, and we are smoothing it out as fas as we can. Temp this morning is at D, but that will go lower tonight and tomorrow. With the near freezing temps, moguls will form with heavy traffic, but both groomers are scheduled to run each day, so you guys rip it up, we will fix ASAP!

Got an E-mail from groomer Andy's run last night. He ran the loop out of St. Ignace, and said everything looks good. The RR Grade, North of the Cedarville connector was much rougher than anticipated though, and he hit that 4 times! Thanks to him for caring about the trail and taking a bit of extra time to fix a trouble spot.

Well this is a short update, because the conditions have not changed that much, and the trails are being worked hard. You can do grass drags at Ford Field, or you can load up, and head up where the trails are fine!

I may be out and about this weekend. No definite plan as of yet, but I think I am going to trash the I-500 idea, and stick around St. Iggy. So if you see a bright yellow MXZ 583 with some coooool red lights under the hood, and an idiot with a purple helmet, say HI, I am not signing this weekend, and will have more time to talk!

Good afternoon Neil, that is great news. Please inform the operators grooming the trails we are greatful and thankful for their efforts.

Quick question for you. Do you guys groom during the day at all? If so could you tell me what days.

Thanks in advance.

Luke.

P.S. I will keep me eye out for you on the trails.:thumb:

Luke,
The Brevort machine (manned by groomer Dave) mostly goes out in the late evening, and finishes its run between 1-4am, depending on conditions. This is the ideal way to groom, get things smooth, and lets them set-up overnight, that way they will handle more traffic - longer. This year, the St. Iggy machine has mostly been going out in the morning, and doing day runs, it has been leaving by noon, finishing in the evening. There are a couple of guys that are going out very early and finishing by noon.
Right now we are running on a shortage of drivers. We really could use at least 3 more guys that could go out on a regular basis. Our President, Jim D. from the Super 8 has resorted to taking a run on the weekend (along with everything else he does). I figure if these guys are good enough to volunteer their time, then they can run whenever they have time, even if it is not the most ideal time to groom.
So to answer your question: no schedule is set in stone, but we run as much as we can.

Neil, Thanks for all the time you and Jim and everyone else put in for the club. It is greatly appreciated.

I also will keep a look out for ya on the trail. It would be nice to finally meet ya. My family and I will be on black ski-doo rev 600's wearing black modulars so if you see us say hey.
Well we are heading up now. See ya soon.
