No news is good news. I have not heard from a groomer driver in the last few days, so that means there is no problems with the system. Both groomers are running every day, and they should be in tip top condition.
We are getting some heavy snow this morning, with 2-4? expected. This stuff is sticking to the trees real bad, so please watch for low branches and possible downed trees (I have not had any reports of downed trees, and the groomers carry a saw to cut any they find, but it is possible)
After todays snow, I would think that we will have enough for some nice off trail riding. cover should be around 2 feet + in the woods.
Below is a graphic of expected snow amounts in the area.
I will head out and get some pics, tomorrow is trail picture day. Everyone book their rooms for the weekend, it is going to be busy!
Happy trails.

Well our 2-4" turned into 1-1 1/2" + some rain/sleet. Trails are packing very very well right now, if it turns just a bit colder things will be back to super highway in no time.

Hey, I made reservations at the Super 8 on US2. With the temps predicted to reach the mid 30's Friday, do you think the trails will be ok to ride from the hotel?. How much snow does that rr grade have?.

When riding from the Super 8, or anywhere along US-2, you do have a couple of short shoulder sections (on a back road) getting to the trail. We are improving this as much as possible by running the groomer up that route, and smoothing out the snowbanks.
As far as the RR Grade, it is the main trail in ans out of town, so it takes a beating, we will groom it as much as possible. Snow on the RR Grade will not be a problem. There is a real good ice base, and 4-6" of snow on that, it will handle several warm days easily.
Glad to see you are coming up,

Thanks Neil. I don't mind a few bumps until we get out of town, I just don't want to be riding on dirt!!.
From the Super 8, do we just have to cross US2 to get to the trail connector?. Isn't there a Shell gas station right there too?.
