Thought I would try putting this somewhere other than Conditions for a change...
Well, we were finally able to get up to St. Ignace and ride. Trails were gorgeous Thursday, and despite warmer temps they were still great Friday, and even looked good as we left for home Saturday morning. Thursday we left the Ice Center around 1:30p and still got almost 200 miles hitting Brevort, Cut River, Trout Lake, up to Hulbert and Strongs and back to St. Ignace.

Caught the groomer (and pickup) as we turned off the grade toward Brevort, and then again on the grade heading back to St. Ignace later that night. Saw very few sleds Thursday and the grade had zero sled tracks the better part of the 28 miles from Trout Lake to St. Ignace! That is a pretty sweet ride when you're on nothing but groomer tracks.

Friday was great too, but in our trek for the Falls, we found bumps and lots of dirt toward Paradise, and so we returned to the Straits area and ended up with a little over 200 miles. The Straits had the best conditions around, :thumb: and less traffic too. All said and done we logged over 400 miles in two days and were able to patronize several area businesses...despite warming temps! And as I post this I have noticed the weather up there is saying you folks are under a Heavy Snow Warning!?? Up to a foot of new snow by Monday 6a??? Is this true! What a way to finish off a weekend that really didn't cooperate in the beginning! I can't wait to hear what the Straits ends up with!
Thanks again for the GREAT conditions and hard work that was evident around EVERY corner!:cool2:
