Well I got the doo suspension installed in the Warrior over the weekend. Big thanks go out to SmittyAllSeason who helped get the new mounting brackets mounted in the tunnel.

Also installed Wahl drivers and a new Camoplast 9969H Ripsaw track.

Almost ready for snow!

Great job!

Oh before I go just one question:

Is it any lighter now?

:sorry2[1] I had to ask....:smilielol

:D

Thanks, Gunner.

Yes the doo suspension is a little bit lighter! (about 20 lbs) vs. stock.

Still a heavy sled, though.

Found some stiffer torsion springs last night on ebay, that will help prevent bottoming out and give a better ride, too.

Looks great, Todd! What lug height is the Ripsaw, 1 1/4" or taller? After my Ripsaw was made into a twin track last season, I went with a new Cobra. It is technically listed as a 1.325", and is supposed to do better in loose snow conditions. Being only a 121", it looks like it will have a little more bite. Time will tell, hopefully in about a month :w00t:

Oh, by the way - I think the billet aluminum tuning fork wheels would have looked better. It's only money :D

Looks nice Todd!

Speaking of torsion springs, I practically stole some on ebay the other day. They are the firmer springs for Edge suspension, got'em both shipped to my door for $60...just gotta break'em in now!!!

Yeah Floyd I need to replace all the outer wheels eventually. The existing wheels were yellow, but I sprayed them hammered black for now. Maybe next year...

The ripsaw is 1-1/4". I would have liked a predator track, but had a hard time finding one (at a decent price). I think the predator was replaced with something newer, too.

Looks good Todd, and ready for the snow! (which we got a little this morning - nothing sticking) If like my suspension at all - you will get to know those outer wheels really well, at least the bearings in them!

I put new 6205's in the outer rear wheels when I had it apart, we will see how they hold up.

The yami rear wheels use a smaller 6004 bearing BTW.

Floyd,
I installed a Cobra on the ZR last year. It is listed as 1.352", but the actual lug height is 1.25". The small nubs on either end of the lug add to the lug height to make it 1.352". I ran the 800 for one trip with a 1.25" Ripsaw for about 350 miles. I wasn't overly impressed. No studs. Last year with the Cobra, what a difference. Still no studs but the softer lug of the Cobra will still "bite" on the hard pack. Great off trail as well.

Thanks for the info, Mark. The only negative aspect of the Cobra I heard of was that it did not grip as well on hard pack. Your comment puts my mind more at ease that the softer lugs still gave it some bite since I don't plan on studding it.
