I have not been riding in a few years. Sold sleds due to finances.

I just bought 2 sleds, and I want to take my 14 year old son on his first trip to the UP.

Would like to stay near St. Ignace the weekend of Feb 24th.

Where is a good place to stay. Any place have highspeed internet available at the hotel? Kind of need this for work purposes if possible.

Thanks
Randy

Try the Super8 Motel. The Pres. of the club is the owner. Not sure on the net hookup.

The Boardwalk Inn has everything you need, it sounds like. It is a very family-friendly place to go as well.

I've only tried one place and have now stayed there 4 times...every one a great experience. Call Andy at the Northeraire. Its at 2020 N. Business Loop 75 (almost to the onramp to 75...which makes easy trailering to Castle Rock--even ride there if there is fresh snow to cross the 75 overpass.) They include breakfast (I'm talking cinnimon rolls, doughnuts, cereal, coffee, and other drinks, hot gravy and buiscuits, sausage, etc.) Really nice folks and recently renovated rooms. Paid $46/nite I think, and always knows you by first name.:thumb:

:offtopic: ...Is there anywhere in town (coffee shop or such) that has wireless for patrons?...:offtopic:

You have a couple of options,
#1 is to stay at a motel that has wireless, I don't have a complete list, but I do know that 2 places owned by Club board members have it for customers (Super 8 & Boardwalk Inn)
#2 They have these wireless hotspots around town, but you have to purchace a card to gain access. Hotspots are at the Ice RInk, Marina and Libary.
#3 the big boy restraunt has 2 computers for people to use. I almost remember them having a wireless router, but I don't know if the wireless is available to the public.

Happy surfing

I might be wrong, but I think ALL of the Golden Arches have wireless access now too :conf:
